From Manoosh to OOSHMAN
The name changed. The story behind it didn’t.
Manoosh started in Sydney in 2008 with a simple idea — to share the food and flavours we grew up with. The kind of food you’d find coming out of a Lebanese bakehouse: fresh dough, zaatar, cheese, warm bread and generous fillings, baked to order and made to be shared.
Over the years, Manoosh became much more than that first little bakehouse. Our menu grew, new stores opened and thousands of customers made us part of their everyday lives — quick lunches, family dinners, late-night feeds and those orders that somehow turn into enough food for the whole table.
As we grew, we realised the name Manoosh no longer told the whole story of who we had become.
So, after more than 15 years, we made one of the biggest decisions in our history. Manoosh became OOSHMAN. We literally flipped MANOOSH on it's head.
It was a new name for the next chapter, but we never wanted to leave behind what got us here. The recipes, the Lebanese bakehouse influence, the generosity and the love of freshly baked food are still at the heart of OOSHMAN today.
